Client Alert: New LLC/Corporation Disclosure Requirements

Hello!

If you use an LLC or corporate entity in your business there is a new filing requirement you need to submit per the Corporate Transparency Act (passed in 2021).

The filing is called a Beneficial Ownership Information Report - and it requires disclosure of all individuals who own more than 25% of the corporate entity. You can file the form here. And if you want to learn more about the regulations/disclosure requirements, you can go to the FAQs here.

For entities created in 2024 and beyond, you have 90 days to submit from when the date the entity is formed. For entities formed prior to 2024, you have until December 31, 2024, to file Beneficial Ownership Information Report.

If you'd like me to file this on your behalf, I'm happy to do so - please send me a note and we can get started. And as always, reach out anytime with questions!
